2025 Series Comes to Epic Conclusion with SoCal Championships!

The 2025 SoCal Series came to an end on Sunday, after 118 pro players battled wind and rain in San Diego, and 106 amateur players tackled two beautiful courses at Cachuma Lake.

Soon, we will be honoring the individual champions of these two tournaments (I’m waiting on the pictures!). But first, here’s a look at how those coveted season titles played out!

Here are some highlights–

Sheliemae Lai returned to the top of FPO after winning the series crown in 2023. And Gavin Bos is a first-time winner on the MPO side!

Jennifer Janssen makes it 4-in-a-row with the series win in FP40, and Stu Mendenhall got his second MP40 win and fourth straight podium.

In MP50, the story of the year is Chris Brophy, who played a stunning 20 SoCal Series Events– and won half of them!

Lorena Dostal, Sue Horn, and Dan “Stork” Roddick are some more repeat champions.

In MA1, it’s Andrew Seely! Fun fact– Andrew qualifies for age protection! He said no thanks, and took the young man’s crown.

FA1 is Athena Cuevas. She will always remember this as the year she won the SoCal Series title. And also, I guess, a World Championship.

Our MA2 Champ is Landon Norman, who survived a home-stretch sprint against Randall Cook.

Jonathan Reaser wins MA3. His 4th place finish at Cachuma ended a year-long back-and-forthbattle with Rito Ocampo.

Hailey Fitzgerald won FA3 in a landslide. And of course she did. The kid played 13 series events… and won 12 of them.

Ryan Cey survived a tight race with Michael Ortiz and Justin Martinez in MA40, and clutched up in the SoCal Championship to take the win.

Hae Jung Cho dominates FA50. 58 points over 2nd place!!!

Road warriors Jared Warner and Asovalu Oz Tuaila won MA50 and MA60 respectively. These two men played in a combined 28 events!

MA65 was Jim Klein in a squeaker– 1 point over Matthew Peña and Michael Sorich.

Chris Blake dominated MA70 and sealed the deal with a win at Cachuma.

There are plenty more great stories here, but my eyeballs are getting tired. Congrats to all the winners.
