T. Ske CA Cup – NorCal vs. SoCal Invitational Team Tournament- Info

A tradition since 1998, the T. Ske CA Cup is an invitational tournament consisting of 4 rounds of match play (2x singles, 2x doubles). Standout players, volunteers, and organizers from SoCal compete head-to-head against a corresponding roster from NorCal.

Roster

In 2025, the SoCal and NorCal team captains and tournament organizers agreed to add additional roster spots for underrepresented divisions. The full official roster is now as follows:

  • MPO: 6
  • MP40: 6
  • MP50: 4
  • MP60: 3
  • FPO: 2
  • FP40: 2
  • FP50: 1
  • FA1: 2
  • MA1: 6
  • MA2: 6
  • MA40: 3
  • MA50: 3

TOTAL: 44 Players per team

Automatic Qualifying Spots

Invitations are automatically awarded to SoCal DGC members in good standing, who finish in the top ___ places in series points standings in the following divisions:

  • 4 in MPO
  • 4 in MP40
  • 3 in MP50: 
  • 2 in MP60: 
  • 1 in FPO
  • 1 FP40
  • 1 in FA1
  • 4 in MA1
  • 4 in MA2
  • 2 in MA40
  • 2 in MA50

Note: If declined, an automatic invite does not automatically pass to the next points finisher.

Captain’s Picks

After automatic qualification, remaining roster spots are awarded in consideration of the following factors:

  • Series Points
  • Player Rating
  • Team Camraderie/Chemistry
  • Volunteer Service

SoCal also reserves a few roster spots for Santa Maria locals, who host and help organize this event at Waller Pines each January.
